By accessing our website, attending our walks or events, or engaging with Girls Who Walk Aberdeen (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. About Us

Girls Who Walk Aberdeen is a community group created to provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for women aged 18+ to connect through walks, social activities and events. We operate as a not-for-profit community group.

2. Participation & Eligibility

  • Our walks and events are open to women aged 18 and over, unless otherwise stated

  • Participation is entirely voluntary

  • Some events may have limited spaces and require booking or tickets in advance

We reserve the right to refuse participation if behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or not in line with our community values.

3. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility

By attending a walk or event, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for assessing your own fitness, health and ability to participate

  • You take part at your own risk

  • You are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain

Girls Who Walk Aberdeen is not liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage incurred during participation, except where required by law.

If you have any medical conditions or concerns, please consult a healthcare professional before attending.

4. Walks & Events

  • Routes, times and locations may change due to weather, safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances

  • Walks may be postponed or cancelled at short notice; updates will be shared via social media or email where possible

  • You are free to leave a walk at any time

We do not provide supervision, childcare, or transport.

5. Behaviour & Community Guidelines

We aim to maintain a kind, inclusive and respectful environment.

By participating, you agree to:

  • Treat others with respect and kindness

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour

  • Follow instructions given for safety reasons

Any behaviour that compromises the safety or comfort of others may result in removal from events or exclusion from future activities.

6. Photography & Media

Photographs and videos may be taken during walks or events for social media, marketing or website use.

By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed.
If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please let the organiser know on the day and we will respect this.

7. Bookings, Tickets & Payments

  • Some events may require payment

  • Tickets are non-refundable unless stated otherwise

  • If an event is cancelled by us, a refund or alternative option will be offered where appropriate

All content on this website (text, images, branding) is owned by Girls Who Walk Aberdeen unless stated otherwise.
